About Last Beacon
Free browser defense game. Guard six lighthouses through six night waves of falling meteors: one tap fires one interceptor from the nearest battery, and shots are finite. Same daily storm for everyone.
How to play
- Tap or click anywhere to fire one interceptor at that point. The nearest battery with ammo left fires — you never pick a battery.
- The interceptor bursts on arrival: a ring expands, then shrinks, destroying every meteor inside it.
- Three batteries (left, centre, right) hold 10 shots each and refill every wave — 30 shots per wave.
- Six waves from 22:00 to 04:00. Later waves add splitting meteors. One input is one shot — no rapid fire.
- The night ends after wave 6, or when all six beacons are lost.
Scoring
- Interception: 10 × wave number.
- Each beacon still standing at the end of a wave: 50 × wave number.
- Each unused shot at the end of a wave: 2 × wave number.
- No multipliers or bonus rounds — the daily storm is identical for everyone, so the board is pure play.
Daily board FAQ
- Which day is the board on?
- The board follows the UTC calendar day (09:00 in Korea, 20:00 Eastern the evening before). The exact day is always shown as “Board day YYYY-MM-DD (UTC)” with a countdown to the reset.
- What happens at the reset?
- Today's board becomes final and a fresh, empty board opens. A run started less than six minutes before the reset may finish after the board has closed — that run can't be registered.
- How are ties ranked?
- Equal scores: the newer entry ranks higher, so a tie with 20th place still gets you on the board.
- Can one player hold several places?
- No. Each player keeps one row per game per day — your best score. Play again and only a higher score replaces it. Players are identified by an anonymous id stored in this browser, so clearing site data or switching devices makes you a new player.
- What is the rules version?
- Every board is tied to a rules version. If a game is rebalanced, a new version opens a fresh board so old and new scores never mix.
