About Stackline

Free browser block puzzle. Drop four-cell pieces, clear lines and score as much as you can in 120 seconds — a 150-piece cap puts touch and keyboard on the same starting line. Fresh piece order every run, daily worldwide leaderboard.

How to play

1. Pieces fall into a 10×20 well. Move, rotate and drop them to complete horizontal lines — a full line clears.
2. Desktop: ← → move · ↑ or X rotate clockwise · Z rotate counter-clockwise · A rotate 180° · C or Shift hold · Space hard drop · ↓ soft drop.
3. Touch: drag left or right to move (push to the edge to hit the wall) · tap the left / right half to rotate · flick down to hard drop · drag down to soft drop · swipe up to hold.
4. Hold swaps one piece per lock. The ghost shows where the piece lands, and the next five pieces are always visible.
5. The round ends at 120 seconds, after 150 pieces, or when the stack tops out — whichever comes first. Your score at that moment is your record.

Scoring

• Single 100 · Double 300 · Triple 500 · Quad 800 — all multiplied by level. Level rises every 10 lines and caps at 8.
• T-Spin 400 / 800 / 1200 / 1600 · T-Spin Mini 100 / 200 / 400. Back-to-back difficult clears ×1.5.
• Combo 50 × chain × level. Perfect clear 800 – 2000 (back-to-back Quad perfect clear 3200) × level.
• Soft drop 1 per cell, hard drop 2 per cell — drop points are capped at 5% of your total.
• Every run gets a fresh piece order from the server seed, so memorised sequences count for nothing.

Daily board FAQ

Which day is the board on?

The board follows the UTC calendar day (09:00 in Korea, 20:00 Eastern the evening before). The exact day is always shown as “Board day YYYY-MM-DD (UTC)” with a countdown to the reset.

What happens at the reset?

Today's board becomes final and a fresh, empty board opens. A run started less than six minutes before the reset may finish after the board has closed — that run can't be registered.

How are ties ranked?

Equal scores: the newer entry ranks higher, so a tie with 20th place still gets you on the board.

Can one player hold several places?

No. Each player keeps one row per game per day — your best score. Play again and only a higher score replaces it. Players are identified by an anonymous id stored in this browser, so clearing site data or switching devices makes you a new player.

What is the rules version?

Every board is tied to a rules version. If a game is rebalanced, a new version opens a fresh board so old and new scores never mix.
